Some new people who had come to study asked me this question. “I heard that Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother had their own family. Is it true? It is so weird.” I asked them why it was weird. One of them said, “I don’t know. Just thinking that God has a wife and children does not sound like God.”
I came to think why people are so reluctant to accept the fact that God could have a family. Nowhere in the Bible says that God cannot have a family. We can see several verses about God appearing in the flesh including the record of the book of Genesis (Gen 18:1-15). If God comes in the flesh, why can he not do the things that human beings do? Regarding his coming, the Bible states as follows:
Heb 2:14-17 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants. For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.
The Bible says that he needs to be made fully human in every way. Having a family is an important part in human life. If God says he is too holy to have a family, He is not made human in every way. Also if that is the case, he did not even have to come in the flesh.
We cannot judge God by our own opinions. He could be unmarried as he was 2000 years ago. Also He could get married and have a physical family if he wants. Why should the marriage make him less God?
The fact that Christ Ahnsahnghong has a family does not change his divinity. He fulfilled the prophecies of the Bible and restore the truth of the new covenant. No other people in the world fulfilled the Scriptures as He did. Yet there are people who try to deny Him by using his physical life. Christ Ahnsahnghong did not anything wrong even physically. Marriage is not a sin. The Bible rather says that forbidding people to get married is a demon’s teaching (1 Tim 4:1-3). So why should the fact he had a family be any ground for slanders?
2000 years ago, Jews rejected Christ because of the fact that He had a physical family (Matt 13:55-57). Because they focused on his physical life, they could not see his true nature. Even in this age, those who only focus on the physical life of second coming Christ will lack understanding of His true nature. I hope readers understand this matter clearly and have a correct discernment about the truth.
