Why does the Church of God use the name “Ahnsahnghong”?

why_ahnsahnghong

I often get questions like “Why does the Church of God use the name Ahnsahnghong instead of Jesus?” or “Does the Church of God not believe in Jesus?” It is understandable for people to have these questions because they are much more familiar with the name Jesus than Ahnsahnghong. However, using the name of Ahnsahnghong doesn’t mean that the Church of God doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ. It just believes in the new name of Jesus.

The Name of God changes in each age

If you think Jesus is the only name of the Savior, please try to answer this question. Before Jesus Christ came, which name had people of God used when they prayed and worshiped? The answer is Jehovah which is often referred to as Yahweh. The Old Testament Bible testifies that Jehovah is the only name of God and the Savior.

Exo 6:2 (ASV) And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am Jehovah…

Isa 43:11(ASV)  I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.

Psa 116:4 Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: O Jehovah, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

The above verses clearly show that the name of God and Savior in the Old Testament times was Jehovah and people of God used this name when they prayed to God.  However, in the New Testament, the Bible states that the name of the Savior is Jesus Christ and people of God should pray in His name.

Act 4:10-12 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified…Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.

John 16:24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

Here, we see another name “Jesus” and Apostle Peter testified that it was the only name given to people for salvation. Also Christ told disciples to pray in His name not in the name of Jehovah before going back to heaven. This can be quite confusing at first because in one verse the Bible says that Jehovah is the only name of the Savior and in another, it says Jesus was the only name of the Savior. Then, why are there different names of the Savior?

Ecc 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

The Bible testifies that there is a time for everything under the heavens. The name of God is no exception. In each age, God uses a different name for the salvation of people. For this reason, Jesus taught us there is more than one name of God.

There are Three names of God

Matt 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

If you read this verse carefully, you can see that there are three names of God- the name of the Father, the name of the Son, and the name of the Holy Spirit. Then, why are there three names of God? It is because there are three ages in the Bible. In the age of the Father, the name of the Father was used. In the age of the Son, the name of the Son was used. Then in the age of the Holy Spirit, the name of the Holy Spirit should be used. Therefore, in order to understand God’s work of redemption, we need to know all three names. Then, what is the name of the Father? It is Jehovah. What is the name of the Son? Of course, Jesus Christ. Then, what is the name of the Holy Spirit? It is the new name of Jesus testified in Revelation.

The Bible testifies about the new name of Jesus

Rev 3:11-12  I am coming soon…and I will also write on them my new name.

Rev 2:17 …I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

This is the revelation of Jesus Christ (Rev 1:1). He clearly mentioned that when he comes, he would have His new name. In Rev 2:17, He said He would give a white stone with a new name. In the Bible, the stone means Christ (Acts 4:11). Therefore, this means that Christ would come with a new name.

The new name of Jesus is Ahnsahnghong

Then what is the new name of Jesus? Obviously the new name cannot be Jesus or Jehovah since they were already used. It should be a name that has never been used before. Then can we find that exact name in the Bible? The answer is no. According to Rev 2:17, this name will be given only to those who receive Him. If it is written in the book, everyone will get it whether they accept Him or not. Also even Jesus’ name which Christians regard as the Savior’s name was never recorded in the Old Testament. Then, how can we find out the new name of Jesus?

John 5:39  You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me

The Bible teaches that the Scriptures which mean the Bible testify about Christ. This means that through the prophecies of the Bible, we can recognize the true Savior testified in the Bible. Because Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the Bible (1 Cor 15:3-4), disciples could recognize Him as the Savior and Christ. The Bible also says that the same Christ would come a second time to bring salvation (Heb 9:28). Then how can we recognize Him? Also through the prophecies of the Bible. The one who fulfilled all the prophecies of Second coming Christ is Christ Ahnsahnghong. Because He fulfilled all these prophecies, He is the Second Coming Christ and His name is the new name and the name of the Holy Spirit. If you would like to see what prophecies fulfilled by Him, please check out the following links.

Second Coming Christ should come from South Korea

In conclusion, Church of God believes in Jesus Christ but uses His new name according to the teachings of Revelations. 2000 years ago, those who held on to the name Jehovah and rejected the name Jesus could not receive salvation (Acts 4:10-12). In this age too, only those who receive the new name of the Savior can receive salvation. If you would like to learn more about this, please visit the nearest Church of God and have a Bible study. You will clearly understand how important using the new name is.

Christ Ahnsahnghong and the Sabbath Day

christ-ahnsahanghong-sabbath

The World Mission Society Church of God keeps the Sabbath on Saturday just as we learned from Christ Ahnsahnghong. People who have the traditional Christian beliefs might wonder why it does instead of Sunday but the Bible clearly explains that the Sabbath is the correct day of worship. In this post, let’s take some time to learn about this basic commandment of God.

Origin of the Sabbath

God created the heavens and the earth for 6 days and on the seventh day, God rested from all the work of creating. He blessed this day and made it holy. Then, why did God make this extra day and promise blessing? It is a special gift for God’s people so that they can be blessed through this day. Later, this seventh day is named the Sabbath.

Sabbath day in the Ten Commandments

A lot of Christians know the ten commandments. Also many of them say they keep the ten commandments. However, do they know that keeping the Sabbath day is a part of the ten commandments?

Exo 20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

This is the fourth commandment of the ten commandments and it clearly states we should keep the Sabbath day holy. Some Christians insist that the Sabbath day is the Sunday. Hm…really? Here, we just know that the Sabbath day is the seventh day. Then, what day of the week is the seventh day according to the Bible?

Seventh day in the Bible is the Sabbath day

Mark 16:9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.

This verse describes the event of the resurrection. According to this verse, Jesus resurrected at the first day of the week. Let’s see the same verse in NLT version.

Mark 16:9 (NLT) After Jesus rose from the dead early on Sunday morning, the first person who saw him was Mary Magdalene, the woman from whom he had cast out seven demons.

In this version, it states that Christ resurrected on Sunday. Therefore, we can understand that the first day of the week is Sunday in the Bible. Then, what day of the week is the seventh day of the week? Of course, it is Saturday.

We can find the Saturday being seventh day in our daily lives. Let’s look at the calendar we use.

7th-day-sabbath-calendar

Here, we can see that the seventh day is Saturday not Sunday. This time, let’s find the definition of Saturday in a dictionary. The definition is from dictionary.com.

seventh-day-sabbath-dictionary

The dictionary also states that the Saturday is the seventh day of the week.

Origin of the Sunday worship

Then, why do people go to church on Sunday instead of Saturday?

According to the Bible and the historical records, Jesus and Apostles kept the Sabbath day not the Sunday. Actually at that time, there was no such thing as the Sunday worship in Christianity. Then when was the sunday worship introduced to the Church, it was after the death of Jesus and Apostles that some people begin to introduce this new way of worship. Due to frequent rebellions of the people of Israel, the Roman government heavily persecuted them and try to prevent them from gathering together. It soon realized that the Sabbath day was their main gathering day and outlawed any gathering on this day. This directly affected Christians because their worship day was also Saturday. In this situation, some Christians who used to practice paganism considered the Sunday as the new worship day as an effort to prove that their religion was different from Judaism. This idea appealed to a few Christians who were tired of severe persecution from Rome and they began to worship on Sunday instead of Saturday. However, still the main worship day was Saturday. In 321 AD, Roman Emperor Constantine declared the Sunday as the venerable day of the Sun and forbade the courts to be held on this day and soldiers omitted their daily military exercises. Because of this edict, Christians were forced to change their worship to Sunday from Saturday and those who refused were heavily persecuted. This change has lasted for centuries and become a Christian tradition. However, its root is never from God but from Constantine who was called Pontifex Maximus, which was a title given to the high priest of pagan gods.

We need to keep the Sabbath for our salvation

Jesus warned us that only those who do the will of God can enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matt 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Jesus told us that not everyone who calls Jesus, ‘Lord’ will go to heaven but only the ones who do the will of God. Calling Jesus Lord means having faith in Him. Therefore, we shouldn’t think we can go to heaven by faith alone. Then, what is the will of God we need to practice? Since God told us to remember the Sabbath by keeping it holy, isn’t keeping the Saturday not the will of God?

Christ Ahnsahnghong taught us the Sabbath Day Again

Eze 37:24 “ ‘My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees.

The Bible prophesies that when prophetical David who represents God our Savior becomes our king, God’s people will follow God’s laws and decrees. The reason why the Church of God follows God’s laws such as the Passover and the Sabbath is because the true prophetical David came and taught us. In actuality the one who taught us all these is Christ Ahnsahnghong. That is the reason why the Church of God members believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong as the Savior of this age. Only God who comes in the name of David can restore all the laws and commandments of God.  If you have any further question, please feel free to visit the nearest church of God. Christ Ahnsahnghong was not baptized in 1948?

christ-ahnsahnghong-not-baptized-1948

I stumbled across an article from crc.ac about Christ Ahnsahnghong’s baptism year and would like to share with the readers of this blog. If you would like to read the original article, please click on this link.

Those who slander against Christ Ahnsahnghong and World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) insist that Christ Ahnsahnghong was not baptized in 1948 but in 1954. The reason why they claim the different year of baptism is because they know it is closely related to an important prophecy fulfillment the church is teaching. The evidence they presented is already proven false. If you would like to know more about this fabricated evidence, click on this link.

Let’s go over a couple of evidences that Christ Ahnsahnghong was baptized in 1948.

christ-ahnsahnghong-baptism-date1

According to His handwritten note, Christ Ahnsahnghong was baptized in 1948 at Naksum island, Incheon and began preaching the gospel. It was recorded in the last Bible He used. How many of us write our own baptism date on our Bible? I think not many. It is usually just recorded in a baptism book. However, Christ Ahnsahnghong knew that slanderers would make false claims with His baptism date and made it clear with his own handwriting that He was baptized in 1948. Therefore we can have assurance that His baptism date is correct.

Let’s see the second evidence which is the the report by the Christian Council of Korea General Assembly. For your information, the Christian Council of Korea is an organization that labels the World Mission Society Church of God as a cult.

christ-ahnsahnghong-baptism-date2

The following is the English translation of the report above-

“The Church of God worships Ahnsahnghong as their leader. He was born … in January 13, 1918, became a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1947, was baptized by Pastor Lee Myoung Deok of the Seventh Day Adventist Church (so-called Si-gi pa) at the age of 30…”

The organization that speaks against Christ Ahnsahnghong and the WMSCOG testifies that He was baptized at the age of 30. They stated that He was born in 1918 so therefore proved that He was baptized in 1948. Isn’t it a clear evidence that His baptism year is 1948?

Through these two aforementioned evidences, we can confirm that His baptism year is not 1954 but 1948. Even though slanderers try to deny the truth by manipulating documents, the truth is still truth. They hope to plant a seed of doubt in our hearts but all their attempts will be in vain because truth always shines brighter than falsehood. I hope this article helps those who are confused by this false insistence get clear understanding of the truth. Why did Christ Ahnsahnghong come from South Korea?

why-korea-christ-ahnshanghong

When people first hear Christ Ahnsahnghong’s name and the fact that He came from Korea, a lot of people seem confused and ask why He should come from that country. I think it is fair for people to feel like that in the beginning because I did not quite understand either before studying the Bible. For this reason, I would like to go over the scriptural references to the coming of Christ, especially the country where he should come from.

First of all, let’s see the prophecy regarding the second coming of Christ.

Heb 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

The Bible clearly testifies He will appear a second time. Then does this coming mean he will come in spirit or in the flesh? Since He is always with us spiritually (Matt 28:20), this coming must be the coming in the flesh. Then, how can we know where he should come from? The Bible says that He will appear to bring salvation and therefore we should pay close attention to where the work of salvation will begin in the last days. Let’s go to Revelation, the book concerning the last days and find a prophecy about this.

Rev 7:1-3 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”

The wind stands for the last disaster that has power to harm the land and the sea. However, this disaster is held back until angel who has the seal of God seals all the servants of God who are the people of God who are to be saved. Then, who is this angel coming with the seal of God? The seal is like a person’s signature which only belongs to himself or herself. As I am the only person who can have my signature, God is the only one who can have the seal of God. Therefore, this angel must be God. We can clearly see that God who is bringing salvation through the seal of God should come from the east.

Isa 46:10-11 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.

God said from the east he would summon a bird of prey, which means an eagle in the Bible. An eagle in the Bible represents God (Exo 19:4). Therefore, these verses show that God will come from the east as a man to fulfill his purpose, which is salvation.

Isa 41:2-4 “Who has stirred up one from the east, calling him in righteousness to his service ? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow… Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord—with the first of them and with the last—I am he.”

Again in the same book of Isaiah, it is prophesied that God will come as a man from the east. Some might say this might refer to the coming of the first coming Christ. However, considering the fact that both Isaiah and Jesus were in the same country Israel, we cannot say Jesus came from the east. Also the Bible says that this Christ must come from a far off land and farthest corner.

Isa 41:8-9 But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.

Therefore, Christ should come from a country in the east which is also from the ends of the earth and a farthest corner. Then from where should we find this country? Let’s find out the location of Apostle John when he saw the angel coming from the east.

Rev 1:9 I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

He was in the island of Patmos. Where is it? It is a small island located between Turkey and Greece.

patmos

Let’s summarize the main points here.

The country where second coming Christ comes from should meet these two conditions.

  1. The work of salvation should begin there.
  2. From the island of Patmos, it should be located in the east, farthest corner and the ends of the earth.

korea-patmos-christ-ahnsahnghong

The only country that fulfills these requirements is South Korea. It is a country in the east located in the farthest corner and the ends of the earth and also the work of salvation, the preaching of the Passover began there. For this reason, Christ Ahnsahnghong came from South Korea. His coming to Korea was not a coincidence but a fulfillment of the biblical prophecy.

You can watch the below video to understand more about this subject.

Did Christ Ahnsahnghong not fulfill 37 years of King David’s throne?

king throne

Some say that Christ Ahnsahnghong failed to fulfill the prophecy of King David because He was baptized in Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1948 and remained as a member until 1964, the year of the establishment of the Church of God. They insist that the Seventh Day Adventist Church is a false church and therefore, His years in that church should not be counted as a part of 37 year prophecy fulfillment. Do they have a point? Not really. Let me explain why their insistence does not make sense.

Let’s look at the case of Jesus Christ whom all Christians deem as the Savior. Did Jesus Christ start his own church right after baptism? No. He went to Jewish synagogues to keep the Sabbath day and preach the gospel.

Luke 4:15-16 – He [Jesus] taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him. He went to Nazareth where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read.

The synagogues at that time were run by Pharisees and Sadducees that Jesus condemned as false prophets.

Matthew 23:29-33 – Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!…You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

Then can we say that Jesus went to the synagogues to follow their false teachings? No. If we come to that conclusion, we have to deny His Divinity. Then why did He go to the Jewish synagogues? It was because Jesus wanted to save people who were misled by the false prophets.

Now let’s think about why Christ Ahnsahnghong stayed in Seventh Day Adventist. He did so so that He could preach the words of the truth to the people who were longing for salvation. As we cannot say Jesus followed the false teachings because He went to Jewish synagogues, we cannot say Christ Ahnsahnghong followed the false teachings just because He was in the Seventh Day Adventist. Also another reason why He preached in that church was because of the Bible prophecy. The Seventh Day Adventist Church is represented as the church in Laodicea in the prophecy of the seven churches. (Rev 3:14-20)

According to this prophecy, Second Coming Christ must appear in the church in Laodicea.

Revelation 3:20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

As Jesus stayed in Jewish synagogues in order to save His people, Christ Ahnsahnghong also preached in the Seventh Day Adventist to save His people who were looking for the truth. Therefore, the insistence that Christ Ahnsahnghong did not fulfill 37 year prophecy because He was in the Seventh Day Adventist is wrong. I hope the readers of this article can correctly discern the truth and understand Christ Ahnsahnghong correctly through the prophecies of the Bible.

Did Christ Ahnsahnghong say there is no God the Mother?

3d white people lying on a question mark

One of the popular books that slanderers like to use is “The New Jerusalem and the Bride: Interpretation on Women’s veil.” They point out that Christ Ahnsahnghong said, “There is no bride” in this book. If you just look at the text of the book, it seems like He opposed the idea of God the Mother. However, if you consider the context and purpose of this book, you will easily understand why He said that.

Why was this book written?

First, let’s understand the reason why this book was written. There was a female member named Um Soo In and she happened to see a book in Father’s bag. She became curious and began to read this book without his permission and found the part where Father testified about Heavenly Mother. She soon became obsessed with the idea that she is the bride that Father mentioned and began to spread false teachings among members. She even said that she was entrusted with the mission as the Bride to have women take off their veils.

Some members began to follow her false teachings and Father had to do something to stop her. He wrote the book, “The New Jerusalem and the Bride: Interpretation on Women’s Veil” and through this book He exposed her wrongs and made it clear that she is not the bride. At the end, Um Soo In was expelled from church and after the matter was settled, Christ Ahnsahnghong collected the copies and removed them because He wrote this book just to take care of Um Soo In affair not to teach the truth of the Bible.

Let’s take one example. There is a wise king in a kingdom and he hears the report that enemies are coming to attack the city. He tells his soldiers to close the city gate and be ready for the battle. After they defeat their enemies, he tells them to open the gate again. However, some soldiers begin to complain saying, “Why does the king change his word? He told us to close the city gate before but now is saying we should open it again!” If you hear this complaint, would you agree with what they say?

Now think about the reason why Christ Ahnsahnghong said, “There is no bride.” At that time, the truth was disturbed by spiritual enemies and in order to protect it, He closed the truth of Mother saying “there is no bride.” However, after the Um Soo In affair was settled, he opened the truth of Mother again so that children of God could understand the truth correctly.

Why do slanderers use this book?

Christ Ahnsahnghong wrote this book just to take care of Um Soo In affair. He never intended to teach us the truth through this book. Writing this book was like taking a special measure in the time of emergency. That is why Father ordered the copies of this book to be returned and removed after the matter was settled. Then, why do they still use the book that Christ Ahnsahnghong did not want members to continue reading? And why do they just quote some parts of this book out of context, distorting the will of Christ Ahnsahnghong? Their purpose is nothing more than slandering the truth and confusing members.

Please understand the purpose of this book and do not be deceived by their evil lies. If this matter still confuses you, you can always visit a nearby World Mission Society Church of God. We will explain it as clearly as possible.

Did Christ Ahnsahnghong say the world will end in 2012?

2012 pic

Those who slander the church of God love to use the books that Christ Ahnsahnghong wrote on special occasions and distort their meaning. One of the books they frequently use against us is the book entitled “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”. They say that Christ Ahnsahnghong predicted the end of the world in 2012. Let’s see which part of his book they used to back up their claim.

“According to the prophecy, one day is to be interpreted as one year (Eze. 4:6, Nu. 14:34) Therefore, if we add 168 years to 1844 AD when Jesus entered the Most Holy Place in heaven,2012 AD becomes the last day” — “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”: Pg. 15

If you just read this little passage without looking at the context, it seems like Christ Ahnsahnghong was proclaiming the end of the world in 2012 by calling it the last day. But we have to understand one thing – last day of what? Was he talking about the last day of the world? or was he talking about the last day of something else? Let’s see the full passage.

From the next day of receiving the Ten Commandments, the construction of the temple started, and the Temple was completed in 168 days. Since fulfillment of this prophecy was to be done by Jesus, on the day of atonement on July 10th, 1844 AD according to the sacred calendar, Jesus went into the Most Holy Place in heaven. From that time on, it’s shown that the construction of the Heavenly Temple started, and in 168 years, the Heavenly Temple is to be completed. According to the prophecy, one day is to be interpreted as one year. (Eze 4:6; Nu 14:34) Therefore, if we add 168 years to 1844 AD when Jesus entered the Most Holy Place in heaven, then 2012 AD becomes the last day. But we cannot help but to think of the words that for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. — “The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep” Pg. 15

Do you see what he is trying to say here? What was started in 1844 and would be finished in 2012? It is the construction of the Heavenly Jerusalem Temple. If you see any part where he mentioned about the end of the world or judgment day, please let me know. People who slander the church of God purposely distort the meaning of the book by quoting the passage, disregarding its context.

Proclaiming 2012 as the end of the year has never been a part of Church of God’s teaching or Christ Ahnsahnghong’s teaching. Members do not focus on the end day but always try to prepare themselves for the day of glory by cultivating their characters and living a holy and godly life. We never tell members to neglect their physical life. Christ told us to be salt and light of the world meaning we should show good examples and have good deeds even in the world. I mean think about it. If we really focus on the end date, why do we do so many volunteer services? Why do we make so much effort to better this world if we believe it will be destroyed anyway?

Did Christ Ahnsahnghong contradict the Church of God’s teachings? Part 1

confusion guy

The original posts have a series of articles pertaining the topic that Christ Ahnsahnghong did not contradict the teachings of the World Mission Society Church of God. Those who slander the Church of God insists that Christ Ahnsahnghong said only through the name of Jesus could we be saved while the Church of God teaches that through the name of Ahnsahnghong can we receive salvation. If people who do not have any understanding about the church might be confused but if you understand the Bible, you will be amazed at their ignorance and lack of understanding on the Bible.

christ ahnshanghong contradict

In order to have a clear understanding about this issue, let’s take one example. Long time ago, there was a kingdom. Since it had a lot of natural resources, enemies invaded its territory and tried to attack the city. The king of that country order soldiers to close the city door so that they could defend the city. Soldiers bravely fought against their enemies and successfully defeated them. After all the battles were done, king ordered the city door be opened again. Then, some soldiers began to complain, saying “Our King is contradicting himself. He told us to close the door last time but this time he is saying the door should be opened. I don’t understand Him.” If you hear their complains, what would you say?

I’m sure there are no soldiers who actually complain like this in real life. However, if you understand the point of this story, you might understand the slanderers complain about Christ Ahnsahnghong with the same logic. There is a time to close the door for the purpose of defense. Yet, once the war is over, the door should be opened again so that people could get food and merchandises from outside. In the same way, there is a time to use the name of Jesus and also the time to use Christ Ahnsahnghong’s name.

As the articles points out, in each age there is a different name of the savior. In the time of Jesus, people including His disciples prayed in the name of Jehovah only. It was not until Jesus kept the last Passover (a day before his death) did he teach that they had to pray in the name of Jesus. Let’s take a look at the relevant verses.

Isa 43:10-11 Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was not God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no savior. – ASV

The Bible clearly says that there is no other savior except Jehovah. So obviously people prayed in the name of Jehovah at that time. However, just before Jesus experienced the pain of crucifixion, he taught his disciples that from that time on they needed to pray in His name.

John 16:24 – Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

If you see the context of this verse, you can see that this word was given while he was keeping the last Passover (John 13:1-). Until now means that until that time all people prayed in the name of Jehovah. However, Christ said from this time on they had to pray in the name of Jesus which was a new name of the savior.

Then what about this age? Christ Ahnsahnghong also prayed in the name of Jesus when He preached the gospel just as Jesus prayed in the name of Jehovah when He preached the gospel. For this reason, it is natural for him to teach people that they had to pray in the name of Jesus not in His name because it was not the time for his name to be revealed yet. However, just before His ascension, He taught His disciples the new name of the savior which was His name, and from that time his disciples began to preach His name. If someone says Christ Ahnsahnghong contradicts the Church’s teaching for the reason of teaching Jesus’ name, I can conclude that that person is seriously lacking the understanding of the Bible.

I will continue posting on the series of this topic and hope that my review might help you clear out some misunderstanding about the truth.

Did Christ Ahnsahnghong have children?

Family

Some new people who had come to study asked me this question. “I heard that Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother had their own family. Is it true? It is so weird.” I asked them why it was weird. One of them said, “I don’t know. Just thinking that God has a wife and children does not sound like God.”

I came to think why people are so reluctant to accept the fact that God could have a family. Nowhere in the Bible says that God cannot have a family. We can see several verses about God appearing in the flesh including the record of the book of Genesis (Gen 18:1-15). If God comes in the flesh, why can he not do the things that human beings do? Regarding his coming, the Bible states as follows:

Heb 2:14-17 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.  For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.

The Bible says that he needs to be made fully human in every way. Having a family is an important part in human life. If God says he is too holy to have a family, He is not made human in every way. Also if that is the case, he did not even have to come in the flesh.

We cannot judge God by our own opinions. He could be unmarried as he was 2000 years ago. Also He could get married and have a physical family if he wants. Why should the marriage make him less God?

The fact that Christ Ahnsahnghong has a family does not change his divinity. He fulfilled the prophecies of the Bible and restore the truth of the new covenant. No other people in the world fulfilled the Scriptures as He did. Yet there are people who try to deny Him by using his physical life. Christ Ahnsahnghong did not anything wrong even physically. Marriage is not a sin. The Bible rather says that forbidding people to get married is a demon’s teaching (1 Tim 4:1-3). So why should the fact he had a family be any ground for slanders?

2000 years ago, Jews rejected Christ because of the fact that He had a physical family (Matt 13:55-57). Because they focused on his physical life, they could not see his true nature. Even in this age, those who only focus on the physical life of second coming Christ will lack understanding of His true nature. I hope readers understand this matter clearly and have a correct discernment about the truth.

How Can Ahnsahnghong be Christ?

is ahnsahnghong christ

Human brain has its limit. When there is more information than it can contain, it feels tired and reluctant to absorb it. This is the reason why people do not like to accept things that are against their common sense. Once they have a fixed idea on something, it is very difficult to change.

tomato

Tomato is a very popular fruit nowadays. However, about 200 years ago, it was considered a fruit of devil. It looked like a mandrake that appeared in the Old Testament Bible and evoked great fear among people. People believed that this fruit would cause high fever and hallucination leading them to death. This misconception continued until one brave man named Robert Gibbon Johnson demonstrated its harmlessness by eating it public. Some people even fainted as watching but he was completely fine after eating a basket of presumably toxic fruit. Like this, fixed concept has a strong power. Though nobody died by eating a tomato, people’s fixed idea made it a fruit of devil that should not be touched.

A fixed idea also hinders people from receiving true Christ prophesied in the Bible. Over the course of years, people formed their idea about Christ. Due to many paintings, sculptures and other art pieces, when they hear the word ‘Christ’, they think of a good looking white man with blue eyes and blonde hair who performs miracles that cannot be performed by normal men (Even this depiction of Christ was heavily influenced by hollywood movies. In actuality, Christ was not a white man but Israelite). I have met many people and had a conversation about Christ. When I told them that Christ Ahnsahnghong was Christ testified in the Bible, there were usually two reactions. They either did not care at all or got very defensive and tried to disprove me. However, they did not do that because of anything in the Bible. I asked them why it was so difficult for them to accept Him, one of them said, “I don’t know. It’s just weird. What you showed me in the Bible makes sense but it is just so different from what I’ve learned.” In other words, most people have hard time believing because it is different from what they learned not because the testimonies about Christ Ahnsahnghong are wrong.

As the article mentions, the same thing happened 2000 years ago. God appeared as a man and taught the words of the truth but most people rejected Him. It was not because of anything He said or taught. It was because He came in a way that they never expected Him to. They thought God should only stay in the kingdom of heaven praised by thousands upon thousands angels. God they believed in was God who created the heavens and the earth with a word and divided the red sea like nothing. Despite many prophesies in the Bible that He fulfilled, people could not overcome their fixed idea about God and rejected and persecuted Him. As a result, they committed a grievous sin of crucifying their own God. The Bible says that what was written in the past was written to teach us.

Rom 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

As Jews failed to recognized Christ 2000 years ago due to their fixed idea, those who cannot overcome their fixed idea about Christ cannot accept true Christ in this last age. The Only way to recognize Him is through the Bible.

John 5:39-40 You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

Whoever carefully studies the Bible with an open mind can accept true Christ testified in the Bible. According to the Bible, second coming Christ must be baptized at the age of 30 to fulfill the prophecy of David, should begin to preach the gospel in 1948, the year of Israel’s independence and restore the truth of the Passover which is the tree of life. Besides these, there are many prophesied that should be fulfilled by him. The only one who fulfilled all these prophesies is Christ Ahnsahnghong. He was baptized at the age of 30 and began to preach in 1948 and most importantly he restored the Passover which was lost almost for 1900 years.

Still hard to believe? Then let’s just say He is not the one. Then who is second coming Christ? and where is He? The Bible clearly says that the second coming Christ must come when Israel gets its Independence (Heb 9:28, Matt 24:32-33) so He must have come already. If you found another person who fulfilled all these prophesies, I am very interested in hearing about Him. So far I have not heard of anyone who met this requirement.

Let’s not forget the history that happened 2000 years ago. How much would they have regretted after killing their own savior? They lost their chance of salvation due to their fixed idea. If we make the same mistake in spite of this history, we will have no excuse in front of God’s judgment seat. If you want to know more about Christ Ahnsahnghong, please visit nearby Church of God. Everything about Him will be explained through the Bible.
